Fox News: “Fair and balanced” or operating in a "Spin Zone"?

Ted Turner, following the launch of Cable News Network (CNN) became a media pioneer with the first 24-hour programming dedicated to news.

But recently uncovered documents reveal plans for a Fox-type outlet hatched in the early 1970’s by conservatives concerned about what had (and has been) routinely perceived as liberal media bias.

That’s right - members of Congress have taken leave of their credit woes and closed shop on the budget.

Playing Chicken with America’s Credit Rating: Default or Revolt?

News of the day is centered around the ability (or lack thereof) of the United States to reconcile our income with our debt.  


Bottom line: we are broke. 

Broke, not just in fiscal terms - but broke on a societal level because we fail to collectively comprehend where our individual responsibility lies. 


It’s as if our collective conscience is broke. And that’s not good.
